Sandra Beijer.

My entire existence is dedicated to Gingerdom – whether my hair makes me a part of it or not, at any given time and hairdye – but there are definitely many blondes in the world (and brunettes, for that matter, obviously) that I’ve grown to find myself completely and absolutely enamored with.

One such blonde, whether she’s bottled or not, is Sandra Beijer.

She lives in Stockholm, and I’ve got to run her blog through Google Translator (which isn’t the most reliable, grammatically), but by rummaging through her Flickr, I see that it must be an amazing thing to be friends with her in real life. She’s somehow managed to surround herself with friends nearly as gorgeous as she (and that boyfriend of hers!), and shoots them in the most dreamy of lighting. Every outing she photographically records is something I’d love to be a part of: whether it be a simple picnic (that never looks very simple, what with her extremely fashion-forward – but in a retro way, somehow? – friends and self), a trip to another European city (but wait, why don’t I love overseas again?), or one of the many masquerades she’s attended or thrown over the years I’ve been following her life (the Disney one is my favorite).

She also comes off as sweet, and not at all arrogant about her e-fame, I guess you could call it. She’s got many fans and blog readers, and she seems to remain humble. When I sent her an email, asking what tricks she uses to get her photographs so effing dreamy, she sent two responses (one with this link) when she could’ve just not responded at all. Perhaps I’ve become so jaded that I think if someone actually answers a question that they’re next in line to be Mother { insert their name here }, but we’ve all gone unanswered at some point, right? Even by those we consider friends. So, I think when a complete stranger takes the time to answer, even going through the trouble of finding a website and handing it on over for you to see, it’s pretty nice.

But seriously. These people are beautiful and I would love to go to there.

(I just think the above picture is of one of the coolest girls I’ve ever seen. It reminds me of this – heavily scanner-blemished – picture of my mom from the eighties.)

  1. I feel like the girls in Europe have a lot more fun than ladies of the US.
