Conan O’Brien.

Weeks ago, I featured Nancy Drew in my very first monthly dedication to a fascinating ginger. And, as I said last week, Archie Andrews was scheduled for this month. But he broke my heart by choosing Veronica Lodge. Now, this isn’t to say that this month’s pick isn’t important. The fact that he is third in line after Nancy and Archie just shows how close to my heart I hold him! And things work perfectly this way – regarding Archie’s fuck up – because this month started on a very special day:

Conan O’Brien is back on late night television, you guys!

I can’t tell you the precise moment I fell in love with this giant, pale man, but I can tell you it is true. His self-deprecating jokes; his lanky tarantula limbs; and, of course, that hair – they were all crafted with perfection. Sure, he’s had some “off” episodes, and last night’s premiere was a little rocky (understandably, duh!), but his best friends, we fans, forgive him and forget about it.

My boyfriend’s cousin had the pleasure of interning for Late Night with Conan O’Brien years ago (insisting he is genuinely great), and I’ve been silently hoping for that same opportunity. Now that he’s on the opposite side of the country, I don’t see that happening, but that’s ok. I’ll have my place in the sun (his hair) in due time.

I feel that I’m just reaching for more amazing things to say about him, but it’s just impossible! What more can you say? The man is almost indescribable. He’s a human muppet. There. Nailed it.
